Clampmeters for the Electrical Contractor
This wonderful little AC/DC clamp meter has been for many years now one of the most popular clamp meters in the electrical contractor’s tool kit and a major seller for us. Why might this be? Well, look what you get: a robust, reliable Cat 3 600V safety rated clamp meter & multi meter, a lovely compact 220g construction that fits in any toolbox of overall pocket, impressive accuracy, good size 30 mm jaw opening, and a very nice resolution of 0.01 AC/DC amps via its very nicely conceived 4300 count display. When you ask the price you will see the other reason our customers just keep coming back for the DE3110!
OAs with the DE3110 above, it is not surprising that the AC-only DE3100 is our biggest selling AC clamp meter. Like the DE3110, look what you get: a robust, reliable Cat 3 600V safety rated clamp meter & multi meter, a lovely compact 200g construction that fits in any toolbox of overall pocket, impressive accuracy, good size 30 mm jaw opening, and a very nice resolution of 0.01 AC amps via its very nicely conceived 4300 count display. Again, the price will speak of the other reason we cannot get enough of these to meet the demand!
Here is a meter that really does have the “WOW FACTOR”! APPA’s 6D is a completely automated CAT4 600Vclampmeter and multi meter that senses all ranges you have connect it to for a test! It hardly seems possible but it is indeed true. All you need to do is to turn it on then connect its leads/jaw to the job and the APPA 6D will work out what test it needs to do then do so automatically. Simple as that! The features do not stop there...it has automatic backlight that senses when it needs to light the display, a range covering up to 600 amps AC and DC, and an automatic range sensing hold and data hold on the Amps range. Now that is an impressive and useful meter indeed!
For the applications where leakage current testing is required, but occasionally it may be necessary to look at the phase current being drawn too, then this is the meter for you! The CEM DT9810 reads from 0.1 mA AC but has a great range right up to 200A! Nice and compact it has a 30 mm jaw to ensure it is useful in all situations and a data hold button to take a reading when space is too tight to allow direct viewing of the display.
APPA has packed a lot into the A10 Plus and it is a good choice for applications where versatility is needed at modest outlay. Offering a hugely robust design that is shock tested from 1.2m, the Cat 3 600V unit offers AC current readings to 600A via its 35 mm opening jaw. Temperature and capacitance ranges are also added to suit the electrician who works with motors and perhaps occasionally industrial, HVAC, and hot water systems.
Taking the features of the APPA A10 Plus a step further, the APPA A12R Cat 3 600V meter offers both an AC/DC current reading to 600A as well as a True RMS function! It gets better....the APPA A12R also includes a data hold, a Max/Min function, a peak hold function, 43 segment analogue bar graph, and a frequency counter. A nice meter for the electrician working with motor controls.
There is a lot of features to the APPA A5 that make it a very handy unit for the quick test of a ‘busy’ switchboard! The amazing thing about the A5 is that is uses an inventive open jaw concept that avoids the need to operate a bulky jaw-style clamp meter when there are many wires in the way...just push the wire into the open slot and the reading is right there, up to 200 amps AC! Adding to its usefulness there is a full multi meter function in the A5, also impressively rated Cat 4 600V!
