The AVO National Service Centre, based at our Christchurch office, manages repairs and Calibration for all instruments supplied by AVO New Zealand.
The rate for service is $150+GST per hour plus freight. The price for calibrations is available on application.
Estimates for repairs can be provided upon request. Estimates will be in the form of a price range likely to be charged. Additionally the cost of providing an estimate may be charged.
To put it simply – customers need to exercise trust in AVO that repairs will not be progressed which are uneconomic or disadvantageous to the customer. In the case of a repair being deemed uneconomic or unwarranted, AVO will contact the customer and offer the option of an upgrade to a suitable new device, the discarding of the faulty device, or the return of the device unrepaired.
Wherever possible, repairs will be carried out promptly and returned by the most economical means. Most repairs can be processed within 10 working days unless parts are required.
For units that have to be returned to the factory for repair or calibration the service request will be quoted separately.
A Purchase Order from AVO's Customer must accompany the goods sent back under a warranty claim or service request.
For warranty claims an acceptable proof of purchase must be provided. This is to ensure goods are not stolen or ‘Grey Imports’. Additionally should an item be inspected and found to not be covered by the warranty then this will be discussed with the customer.
It is the responsibility of AVO‘s Customer to have insurance cover in place for their goods while in transit to, from, and whilst in the care of the AVO National Service Centre.
Subject to the overall condition of the instrument, repairs carried out by the AVO National Service Centre will be warranted for 90 days.
